Setting the SAMPLE RATE

The sample rate of the wave (sound) is determined by a parameter in the Output operator. To set the SAMPLE RATE of your patch:

Open the patch you created in Tutorial2.

• Double click on the Output operator.

• You should see this window: [Don't forget that you set the Output to MEMORY, not to AIFF File.]
  
  
       Note the value in the Rate field.
   

  The value in the Rate field sets the SAMPLE RATE of the sound. Standard SAMPLE RATES include:

  44100 Hz (standard CD sample rate)
  22050
  11025

  Unless directed to do so, it would be advisable to keep the sample Rate at 22050 Hz.
