Interactor Tutorials: Programming Mode; Performance Mode


Interactor has two OPERATING MODEs: (1) PROGRAMMING MODE and (2) PERFORMANCE MODE. When in PROGRAMMING MODE you can edit a scene, edit the Controls Window, etc. When in PERFORMANCE MODE, Interactor will only process EVENTS.

To enter PERFORMANCE MODE, do one of the following:

1. Choose Perform from the File pull-down menu
2. Type <Command> P (the "Command key" is immediately to the left of the <Spacebar>)
3. From the Controls Window, click ONCE on the "exclamation point" button located at the top left.

When Interactor is in PERFORMANCE MODE, the "exclamation point" button located at the top left of the Controls Window is replaced with a red "Stop Sign."

Interactor is in PERFORMANCE MODE and will only process EVENTS.


To quit PERFORMANCE MODE, do one of the following:

1. Type <Command> P (the "Command key" is immediately to the left of the <Spacebar>)
2. From the Controls Window, click ONCE on the "stop sign" button located at the top left.

When Interactor is in Programming MODE, you will see an "exclamation point" button located at the top left of the Controls Window.

Interactor is in PROGRAMMING MODE and you can add new operators and statement.
